General
The core education principles of the MEI Impact Awareness curriculum include honest communication, informed decision making, and self-efficacy. The curriculum is designed to be implemented in a health or science class and to engage students in reality-based conversations about the common uses of marijuana, health and behavior risks associated with marijuana use and abuse, and informed decision making about marijuana use. The Prevention curriculum is standards-based, facilitated by classroom teachers, and is grade-level-appropriate.
